One Winter is a short survival game about one cabin, one stove and thirty nights.

Each day brings a few hours of daylight to spend: chop wood, gather sticks, forage, fish, set snares, or stay in and make something. Each night the stove burns what the woodpile holds, and the forecast shows what the coming nights will ask of it: cold snaps, wind, and snow that buries the wood left outside.

Everything you make is also firewood. When the pile runs short on a bitter night, the chair that warms your evenings, the table, the shelf, even the door and the floorboards can go into the stove. Burn one and you lose what it did for you, and the door and the floorboards never come back.

  • A whole winter in one sitting. Every winter ends by telling you how and why.
  • Lose, and you can play the same winter again with what you learned, or start a new one.
  • Turn-based: take as long as you like over each choice.
  • Every new winter brings new weather, and your first is chosen to be fair.
  • Mouse only. Your winter saves as you play.

This is an early build. The whole winter plays through to spring; the sound is still simple tones. What you found hard, confusing or dull is exactly what I want to hear in the comments.
